A Georgian Night in Helsinki – Ravintola Lia Opens with Atmosphere and Heart

In September 2024, Helsinki welcomed a new culinary gem as Ravintola Lia opened its doors at Erottajankatu 2. More than just an opening, Lia’s launch event – designed and produced by Nordic Event Management – was a full cultural experience. The evening brought a taste of Georgia to the heart of Helsinki: its flavors, warmth, and traditions. The guest list included media, local business clients, influencers, and professionals from the hospitality industry – all invited to experience Lia for the very first time.

The goal was to position Lia not just as a new restaurant, but as a high-quality, distinctive, and culturally intriguing destination. That’s why the opening night was built around the concept of a Georgian Supra – a festive table culture where food, wine, and togetherness take center stage.

Guests enjoyed a variety of Georgian dishes as part of an authentic Supra experience, paired with carefully selected Georgian wines that complemented the flavor journey. The evening was enriched by speeches from the founders, who shared Lia’s story, its philosophy, and the soul of Georgian cuisine. Every detail – from table settings to lighting and music – was thoughtfully crafted to support the immersive experience.

Nordic Event Management was responsible for the entire event concept, planning, and production. A key focus was also on media relations and visual content creation – resulting in a wealth of photos and videos used across owned and earned media channels.

The launch succeeded in making Lia one of Helsinki’s most talked-about new spots, praised especially for its atmosphere, authenticity, and heartfelt storytelling. The event proved how a well-executed launch can be a powerful brand-building tool from day one.
