Saarikoski Breakfast Club – A morning experience and meeting place in Tampere

Located in the heart of Tampere, the Lunch and Event Restaurant Koski is renowned for its high-quality food and relaxed atmosphere. In the spring of 2024, the restaurant launched a new event concept called the Saarikoski Breakfast Club, designed and produced by Nordic Event Management. The aim of the concept was to provide local entrepreneurs, customers, and event industry professionals with the chance to start their mornings in an inspiring space while enjoying delicious food. 

The Saarikoski Breakfast Club was born from a simple idea: to bring industry decision-makers and service providers together over breakfast and grow as a community in the future. The event brought together people, ideas, and good energy. Each morning is built around a carefully selected theme, whether it's entrepreneurship, food and wellness, storytelling, or marketing. Speakers at the first event included Maria Smura from Nordic Event Management and Ilmari Saarikoski, owner of Saarikoski Restaurants Ltd. In the future, the Saarikoski Breakfast Club will offer participants the opportunity to present their own businesses as well. 

Nordic Event Management's role behind the Breakfast Club extends from event conceptualization to spatial design, communication, and coordination. The events are designed in collaboration with the Saarikoski Restaurants team to ensure the overall experience aligns with the brand—high-quality, warm, and community-oriented. Visually, the events are characterized by Scandinavian simplicity: wood, light, plants, and beautifully set breakfast tables. 

The breakfast offerings themselves are an experience—handmade porridges, fresh smoothies, freshly baked rolls, and ingredients from local producers. Everything is carefully considered, not only for taste but also for visual appeal and sustainability. When the plate exudes a good vibe, it carries over into the whole day. 

The Saarikoski Breakfast Club is an ongoing, permanent concept aimed at growing into a community where new ideas are born, and old connections deepen. It’s not just a way to start the morning—it’s an opportunity to build a community, develop one’s thinking, and share everyday insights. 

The event concept is a brilliant example of how a restaurant can also serve as a social space for networking, learning, and entertainment. With the production expertise of Nordic Event Management, every morning is unique—and its impact lasts throughout the day.
